As you continue up the road you will see a house in ruins on the right hand side. This was occupied by the ??? family.

Further up the road you will see a house in ruins on the left hand side. This was occupied by the ??? family.

A bit further up the road on the right hand side can be seen the remains of an old lime kiln.

Just past this a modern bungalow can be seen and to the right of this the old Geraghty home that has been converted into animal housing.

In front of the modern bungalow is the gable end of the old Murray home.

Further on up the road on the left hand side is the new home of Anthony Geraghty. This was built on the site of the old Keane home.

The view from this house is spectacular looking out over Clew Bay.

The old Keane house is also being used for housing sheep.

John Murray had a new house built. When he died this house was left to a niece who lived in England and was married to a man from Roscommon. They came back from England and lived in the house for a few years but now live in Roscommon.

Anthony Geraghty's bought the house and land from John Murray's niece.

The old Murray house has been converted in to cattle housing. The stone outside the house on which John Murray inscribed his daughter's name when she left for America was damaged by a lorry backing in to the yard a few years ago.
